WW2 GERMAN MOUNTAIN TROOP OFFICERS VISOR CAP - DOUBLE EREL MARKED

A WW2 German officers visor cap constructed in high quality melton/doeskin type cloth. The mountain green waffenfarbe has faded over time but still has definite traces of a green shade within all the piping waffenfarbe on the upper and lower sections.

The hat is completely free of any moth damage, either holes or tracking. High saddle shape, with a matched set of bullion cap eagle and cockade and with a nice correct period edelweiss tradition badge below the eagle.

Standard officers cap cords and white metal pebbled buttons. To the interior the wide light tan sweatband all intact and some wear to the forehead area. The remainder of the cap is completely lined with gold rayon.

The correct double Erel marked to the inside crown and also to the inside side.
