A super example of this locally made badge for British Officers. This badge (and the collar badges I have listed) were obtained from 3511976 Flying Officer H.G. Kirby R.A.F. who served in Iraq from September 1953 to September 1955.

There is plenty to read online about this unit, and also many images of insignia. These Officer badges are very hard to obtain.

A lovely and scarce example made of unmarked silver.
