WW2 German Luftwaffe Ground Combat Badge.

A die struck zinc, solid backed award in the form of a burnished matte grey washed vertically oval oak-leaf wreath with separate silver washed Luftwaffe eagle superimposed to top, encompassing a burnished matte grey washed cloud and black washed lightning bolt.

Originally was a two piece construction type, however the top (over) eagle is missing so hence the hole as shown. This was not uncommon.

Comes with work-able pin which shows wear but broken fastner at the bottom. Suspect battle worn and was pulled off a tunic. Still a perfectly satisfactory piece and priced accordingly.
